Hi, I am Daniel Smith
Conscious approach to acting
I was born on July 15, 1983 in New York to a family of an accountant and taxi driver. Acting has been my passion since I first visited theatre in 1990. I achieved great success after my first role in “Denial”, the feature-length movie released in 1999. Though I played there a secondary role, I quickly became an called-for actor.
Being a career actor means you have to put in a lot of time and energy before you can make anything of yourself. It means you have to constantly be working on your audition skills, constantly networking, and you have to throw all of your eggs into one basket.
Latest Film Roles
My passion for acting is helping me perform great both in theaters and film studios so that I could not just impress my fans but also convey a message that the film crew has prepared for you. I do it through performing most unusual roles, some of which are below. You can also read about them on other pages of my website.
One of the latest movies where I appeared is “The Major’s Daughter”, where I played the role of a private detective John Myers.
I often play lead male roles in romantic movies and melodramas just as “Hard to Love”, a 2013 film, directed by William S. Johnson.
This genre is one of my favorite ones, not only because it’s funny to shoot but also because it offers lots of space for improvisation.
